Easy Mobility KEEGANBAR FAQ

FAQ's for The KEEGANBAR and Mobility Scooters

KEEGANBAR Information

The KEEGANBAR is a new and patented product that allows you to effectively tow an ATV in several different ways including with another ATV. The KEEGANBAR is also very simple to use: In less than a minute, you can attach a KEEGANBAR to your ATV and to the towing vehicle.

This is important if your ATV malfunctions, runs out of gas or a driver can't continue to drive his ATV due to an illness or accident. Imagine being deep in the woods or in your hunting grounds and any of these situations come up. By using the KEEGANBAR system you can bring home the second ATV and the extra driver too. You can do all this without using chains or ropes!

You can also tow two ATVs with our specially designed Twin Ball Bar, behind your automobile or any hitch mounted vehicle. This is the easiest way to move an ATV if you are by yourself. The KEEGANBAR allow you to tow your ATV without the need of a pickup truck, heavy lifting, a more expensive loading ramp or oversized trailer.

Unique features:

The KEEGANBAR  is made of high strength aluminum and has been tested and used for over 10 years

The KEEGANBAR  currently fits those ATV models with a round front grill bar with a diameter of up to 1.5". Most Honda ATV's have a 7/8" round bar which attaches perfectly to the KEEGANBAR.

Special Instructions:

  1. It is the responsibility of the owner to know and follow all local, State and Federal laws when operating a motor vehicle and towing an ATV. Some jurisdictions may impose additional towing regulations such as the use of tail lamps and safety chains.

  2. The KEEGANBAR was designed and tested for most road conditions.

  3. Do not exceed speeds of 45 MPH when towing your ATV with a KEEGANBAR.

  4. Do not use the KEEGANBAR to tow your ATV on highways where the minimum speed limits are 45 MPH.

  5. ATV tires are not constructed for driving on the street or pavement. Most low pressure tires will wear quickly on these surfaces due to the weight of the driver, spinning of the tires, and hard turns. The  KEEGANBAR allows for towing of your ATV without adding additional stress to your tires.

  6. Never ride on an ATV that is being towed.

  7. Periodically check all bolts and nuts to ensure that they are tight and not damaged. Replace any as required.

  8. It is the responsibility of the owner to read and understand all the instructions before using the KEEGANBAR.

  9. There are no distance limitations when towing in off road conditions.

KEEGANBAR FAQ's

What if my ATV has a bar bigger than 1.5”?
At the present time the KEEGANBAR will only fit on an ATV with a 1.5” bar. However, there is a new accessory that should be available soon, which will allow various larger size bars.

Do I need any permits even if I’m using the KEEGANBAR off-road?
We have conducted research into this area and found that most states do not have regulations for this. We recommend that you check with your local DMV office for further clarification.

How do I tow an ATV with another ATV?
This is our best feature! In addition to the KEEGANBAR, you will need to purchase an accessory called the Ball Spacer, also sold on our web site.

Simply install the Ball Spacer on the back of an ATV (image 1) and then connect the KEEGANBAR to the Ball Spacer and to the ATV you want to tow (image 2).
